What are components?

Using the Components toolbar icon you can reach CoffeeCup’s library of components: pre-made items that can be imported into your project and customised to fit your needs. The library keeps growing, with headers, navigation menus, page layouts, sliders and more.

The same feature lets you save and reuse content you’ve created yourself, which rescues you from repetitive design work and speeds up production.

What counts as a component

You can save anything to your component library. Generally a component is a combination of elements that together produce a special function.

Interactive components

One of the advantages of using CoffeeCup apps is being able to use interactive site items. All three CSS frameworks — Foundation, Materialize and Bootstrap — offer an elegant way to build navigation menus, accordions, tab panels, modal dialogs, drop-ups and much more, without having to deal with external scripts.

Creating your own interactive components is done visually, by combining HTML elements, predefined and custom CSS, and the framework-specific attributes. You can mix in interactive scripts to create off-screen navigations, flex-cards, info pop-ups or galleries. Custom components can be saved to your library to reuse across projects. Items can be given a description and organised in folders.
