Account verification when starting offline

The symptom. Starting Site Designer without an internet connection shows a message saying the app needs to verify your account before it can run, along with a three-day grace period. A pop-up asks for the email address and password of your CoffeeCup account.

What to do

Sign in once while connected. The user who reported this confirmed that after entering the account details online, the app went back to working offline normally.

The check is periodic rather than constant, so one successful verification restores offline use.

If you work offline by policy

Plan for the periodic check: connect long enough for the app to verify, then carry on disconnected. The three-day grace period exists so a temporary outage does not stop your work.
