Export to a folder

The Export method generates a folder containing every file your website needs — HTML, CSS, JS, and every asset. That gives you the freedom to upload the site to your own hosting service, using any upload utility.

Starting an export

Click the Export toolbar icon, or go to File → Export, to begin the export process.

Where the files go next

Site Designer produces the folder; getting it onto a server is a separate step, done with whatever upload tool your host expects — most commonly an FTP or SFTP client, or your host’s own upload panel. CoffeeCup’s own FTP utility for this is a separate app, not a feature built into Site Designer — see FTP publishing.
