Uploading your export with FTP

Once you’ve exported your project to a folder, getting it onto a server is a separate step. Site Designer does not include a built-in FTP client — you’ll need a standalone FTP or SFTP tool.

An FTP tool to use

CoffeeCup makes its own Free FTP utility for this. It’s a separate app from Site Designer, not a built-in feature.

Any other FTP or SFTP client works the same way for this purpose — connect to your host with the credentials it gave you, and upload the contents of the exported folder to the correct directory on the server (commonly public_html or www, depending on your host).
